Multi option LOW LOSS charge splitter suitable for a voltage range 6 - 32 volts dc and a current range up to 200 Amps (negative earth system only). For low current options up to 120 Amps see our (click here) "X-SPLIT" range. Suitable for most types of alternators, including battery sensed versions, normal battery chargers with or without an incorporated multi output facility, on - board auxiliary generators, solar cell chargers, towed generators etc. Due to the low loss characteristics they are ideal for use with solar cells and wind generators where virtually all the developed power is transferred from charging source into the batteries. Over 13000 of our sister unit the X-SPLIT have been sold world wide and when used with our X-ALT (click on the blue hyper link to view details) range of alternator charge boost controllers or our 'GENIE' (click on the blue hyper link to view details) range of enhanced alternator charge controllers the combination of either unit provides what is probably the most efficient split charge control system available any where in the world.

Low voltage loss
compared with diode splitters which have a constant loss of 0.8V - 1.0V
even at float current while the X-PORT has
a maximum loss of less than 400mV @ maximum current, dropping to less than
50mV at float current.

Notes:-
All units can
be used on standard machine sensed alternators without modification.
The rating of
the X-PORT is dependent on the capability
of the charging source, not the size of batteries. i.e. for a 105 Amp alternator
feeding a 400 Amp/Hr battery bank a 150 Amp unit will be required.
When used in
conjunction with battery sensed battery chargers some form of voltage feedback
will be required.
We recommend
that the X-PORT is used in conjunction with one our range of alternator
boost charge controllers the X-ALT 'Skipper' or 'Captain'
or our high output alternator system the GENIE
if long recharge times exist.
We can advise
the best method to split charge your battery banks if you have a non standard
system.
