X-CALIBRE 3 STAGE BATTERY CHARGER

The X-CALIBRE is 3 Stage Battery Charger employing switched mode technology to provide an efficient charger that will recharge batteries both quickly and safely. Using the IUU three stage charging routine it provides a bulk charge delivering a closely controlled current to the battery during which phase about 75% of capacity is restored. The equalization phase reduces the current to maintain the battery at the 'boost' voltage. This phase brings the battery to about 98% without excessive gassing. The final stage 'float' allows the battery voltage to drop to the float voltage. During this phase the current output from the charger is automatically adjusted for any change in load. The X-CALIBRE is ideally suited for charging our new range of AGM & Gel Batteries. With the X-CALIBRE providing the battery charging whilst on shore power, the X-ALT alternator charge controller plus alternator providing battery charging whilst on the move coupled with the X-SPLIT or X-PORT charge splitter and the new AGM or Gel batteries forming the required separate battery banks the system components will provide a complete battery charge management system.
