X-PEL INSTALLATION

updated 25/01/06

Electrical Wiring

The interconnecting earth cables shown as INPUT & OUTPUT must be rated to carry the full load fault current to maintain the earth protection in the event of an equipment failure. Ideally the same cable size as the Live & Neutral cables.
The cable must be connected to the X-PEL stud terminals using good quality copper tube crimps. Failure to comply with these interactions could mean that the installation is electrically unsafe. If in doubt contact a qualified electrical engineer.

Mechanical Installation

Mount the X-PEL using it's integral mounting bracket in an area free from excessive vibration and high temperatures, Though the X-PEL is fully potted and Brass studs are used care should be exercised in the installation to prevent water providing a bypass circuit to the X-PEL's operation.

Important Information
