Electrical Wiring
The battery must be connected to the charger BEFORE any connection is made to the AC mains supply. The battery to charger connections must be made with cable of the appropriate cross-sectional area - at least 4 squ.mm for 15 amps, 6 squ.mm for 30 Amps and 10 squ.mm for 60 Amps.
On multi output units each individual output will have its own positive terminal the negative is common. The battery voltage is sensed on the "+M" terminal, therefore if only one battery is connected then its positive must be connected to "+M" terminal. On high current single output versions two positive and two negative terminals are provided. Only one of each need be used with thick cable or both can be used with thinner cables. Where external voltage sensing is available the "+S" terminal should be connected to the battery positive terminal using 0.5 squ.mm cable.
