X-ACT INSTALLATION

Electrical Wiring

Amp Versions
Red 24/02 cable = Power Input and should be protected at source by a Amp fuse.
Yellow 24/02 cable = Stabilized Power Output.
Black 24/02 cable = Electronics 0 volt supply.

12 volt 15 Amp & 25 Amp and 12 volt 50 Amp & 24 volt 25 Amp Versions
The wiring for the input & output connections must be suitably rated for rated current.
A suitable protection device should be fitted at source to match units specification.
The 0 volt cable needs to be 16/02 or larger (the 0 volt input only powers the electronics not the load).
M6 Input stud = Power Input and should be protected by a suitable protection device at source.
M6 Output stud = Stabilized Power Output.
M4 -Ve stud = 0 volt connection for electronics.

12 volt 100A, 24 volt 50 & 100 Amp Versions
The wiring for the input & output connections must be completed using suitably rated cable and overload protection for the input wiring must be installed at source.
M8 Input + stud = Power Input.
M8 Power Output + stud = Stabilized Power Output.
M4 0v / earth stud = 0 volt connection for electronics.
M4 O/P V Sense stud = option facility for remote voltage sensing. If remote sensing is not required link to the M8 Power Output stud in NO circumstances must it be left disconnected.

Mechanical Installation

For 12 volt Amp versions flange mounting via 2 x M4 fixing screws on each flange.
For 12 volt 15 Amp & 25 Amp versions flange mounting via 2 x M5 fixing bolts on each flange.
For 12 volt 50 Amp & 24 volt 25 Amp versions flange mounting via 2 x M5 fixing bolts on each flange.
For 12 volt 100A & 24 volt 50 & 110AHr versions flange mounting via 3 x M5 fixing bolts on each flange.
Mount in area not subject to water ingress or high levels of humidity.
As the 12 volt Amp, 15 Amp & 25 Amp versions are convection cooled mount the units in an area where the free flow of air is not restricted and the ambient temperature is below the prescribed limits.
As the 12 volt 50 Amp, 12 volt 110AHr, 24 volt 25 Amp, 50 Amp & 110AHr units are fan cooled allow a minimum of 250 mm to the top of the unit and 300 mm at the front for cooling purposes.
Do not mount near to other equipment which generates high temperature levels
