The Alt15 is a 14v 90Amp marine alternator and is a direct replacement
for Valeo or Paris Rhone alternators fitted to Volvo Penta engines. Providing
an output of 90Amps, mechanically it is similar to the Valeo and Paris
Rhone 55A alternators normally fitted as standard. If replacing lower rating
alternators ensure that all cables are capable of handling the higher current
capacity. If an electronic charge splitter or electro mechanical charge
splitter is used to provide split charging facility ensure the equipment
is capable of handling the increased current capability. Supplied with
a 65mm pulley as standard other pulley sizes can be supplied at extra cost.
The alternator has a insulated negative return so a fully rated negative
connection will be required from B- to the main negative bus bar.
